The branding of Fortdrive, a subsidiary of R3 Cybersecurity, was developed to establish a strong, modern, and reliable identity. The goal was to communicate the company’s commitment to secure file storage through a system that feels professional, innovative, and accessible, while maintaining consistency with the cybersecurity industry.
Visual Identity
The logo combines the letters “f” and “d” into a single symbol that resembles a safety pin. This visual metaphor highlights the brand’s mission: like a safety pin, Fortdrive represents protection, unity, and reliability. The simplified form makes the symbol both distinctive and scalable, adaptable to a wide range of digital and physical applications.
Color Palette
At the center of the visual identity is a bold orange (#EB5A29), chosen for its associations with energy, innovation, and forward momentum. This vibrant hue adds dynamism and visibility across applications. To balance its intensity, black provides authority and professionalism, anchoring the brand in trust and strength. Complementary gray tones offer neutrality and flexibility, ensuring harmony in both digital and print contexts. Together, these colors create a versatile palette that conveys both vitality and seriousness, essential qualities for a cybersecurity service.
Typography
Typography plays a defining role in shaping Fortdrive’s identity. The geometric sans serif Raleway was selected for its balance of clarity, modernity, and versatility. Bold and Extrabold weights are used in the logotype and titles, ensuring strong presence and hierarchy, while Medium and Light weights bring readability and refinement to paragraphs and supporting content. This typographic system reinforces consistency and adaptability, while expressing a contemporary and professional voice.
