Rx Bushido · Cover design

This cover was created for Gloosito, a Spanish trap artist, with the purpose of visually capturing the energy, intensity, and atmosphere of his EP Rx Bushido. The design concept bridges the urban aesthetics of trap culture with Japanese anime influences, reflecting both the client’s artistic references and his unique musical identity. By combining these elements, the cover conveys a sense of modernity and cultural fusion that strongly resonates with Gloosito’s audience.

The visual approach employs minimal yet expressive anime-inspired linework, giving the illustration a distinctive personality without overwhelming the overall composition. This is paired with a contemporary bicolor graphic strategy, using flat areas of color for immediate visual impact while integrating subtle tonal gradients to add depth, richness, and complexity. The hybrid style creates a cover that is not only visually striking but also contextually relevant, fully embodying the raw energy and creative vision of the artist.

Colors

The artwork follows a red and blue bicolor palette, chosen according to the client’s specifications. Within this framework, subtle tonal variations are applied to create layering, texture, and a sense of visual depth. This approach prevents the composition from appearing flat, while the strong chromatic contrast enhances the intensity, vibrancy, and dramatic feel associated with the trap genre. Overall, the color and graphic choices work in perfect harmony to produce a visually compelling cover that authentically represents Gloosito’s identity as a contemporary trap artist.

Typography

The title is set in the “Basara” typeface, selected for its bold, calligraphic nature. This choice reinforces the conceptual connection to Bushido and Japanese tradition, while simultaneously projecting the raw and impactful presence typical of trap visuals. The typography balances the illustration perfectly, giving the textual component equal weight and contributing to the overall cohesiveness and harmony of the design.
